Aimee Musil was the casting director for And Then I Woke Up from writer-director Chris Aran, and responsible for bringing the film to life through its cast. Aimee’s ‘talent for finding talent’ comes from substantial credits in television and film…
And Then I Woke Up | Casting the Best Light
Her contributions to And Then I Woke Up were inestimable in putting together a unique ensemble cast with Chris Aran that was able to shine both individually and as a group, whether in the interplay between the characters of Prentiss (played by Prentiss Thompson and Ben (Sean Patrick Hopkins), or the tenderness between Prentiss’ Mother (Corine Donovan) and Father (Douglas Walker).
Certainly that stemmed as much from the actors’ performances, as much as Aimee’s broad experience, sensitivities and dedication on both sides of the camera as both a creative artist and a business executive. In all events, it was exactly what the film needed for success with due appreciation for Aimee’s many contributions.
